Equipment are items that can be equipped to characters in order to boost their stats. Equipment consists of two types, weapons and armors.
Weapons[]

Weapons are a type of equipment that characters can only have one of equipped at a time. Each character has a specific type of weapon that they use.
Armor[]

Armors are a type of equipment that characters can have up to three pieces of equipped at a time, if they have unlocked enough slots to do so.
Equipment Slots[]
The player start with one weapon slot and the first armor slot. The second armor slot opens after beating Malloc, and the third one opens after beating Rita.
Upgrading[]
To upgrade the tier of a piece of equipment it must have its level increased to 11 and then be upgraded by using the required gemstone.(See: Components)
In addition to having higher stats, upgrading a weapon will unlock the characters' Weapon Skills.
